District9Poster

I saw District 9 with a handful of friends over the weekend after my friend E&J were married. (A post on that later). It was AWESOME! I want a little alien kid. So so cute. OK the Prawns slightly resemble a cockroach, but it was the neatest movie. MK didn’t like it, she said she felt stressed the entire time.  I was incredibly entertained.

MK pointed out the movie poster “Where the Wild Things Are”.  I bet it’s darling, I’m interested in seeing it.

View the trailer here:

On top of that, New Moon comes out November 20, MK is on the bandwagon with me to see it the day it comes out.  Here’s the New Moon trailer: Meet Jacob Black.

Hitch sent me a Facebook message today that read:  Just thought you would like to know that my mates just returned from a wk in NY hanging out with robert patterson and Shia Lebeouf….

In which I replied: *Screaming like a 14 year old girl*

I’m still on team Edward, PS.

Me: Jaime, are you ordering from Chipotle today?
JLM: Yes. Just do it.
Me: But I’m trying to save money.
JLM: Save money? $5? How about you stop speeding, that’ll save you money.

Shooting in manual mode has been fantastically fun.  Thanks GV for the help!  I took these in San Diego County.

These are straight from the camera, unprocessed with my 50mm/1.4 lens.  I love the bright and airy quality, it was a gorgeously sunny and perfect day.

Layla and her new found pet lizard (I say new because she caught a new one every day outside):

This is his belly:

Right after we shot this, Layla lost her grip on the sucker and he jumped on my camera viewfinder and I screamed then he jumped again to the ground which Layla then ran after him to scoop him out and he bit her (and she had to literally PULL the guy off her because he had an alligator grip on her finger).  Poor thing burst into tears (she’s 7) and he left teeth marks on her.   Her dad then came out and said he could handle the situation with a hammer if she wanted him to.  Hilarious.

I then showed her my scar from a 4th grade class hamster named MC Hamster who bit me and left a mark. That little jerk hung off my finger and I had to shake him off me. Imagine that. I’m shivering at the memory.  I’ll show you that later sometime.  I will never EVER stick my hand in one of those rodent cages for the rest of my life.  Boo.

One of my favorite blogs is by Karen Russell.  I will one day be able to register for her photography class and NOT be 168th on the waiting list.  She’s an amazing photographer, scrapbooker, and blogger.

Oh, and incredible office decorator too. Take a peek.

Time_Traveler's_Wife_Movie_Poster

I saw The Time Traveler’s Wife on Friday, the night it came out with SS.  It was so beautiful.  I was a Rachel McAdams fan since The Notebook (which cried and snotted all over the pages when I read the book first). I found out that Nicholas Sparks, author The Notebook also wrote The Time Traveler’s Wife.  Two words.  Loved it. Go see.  Bring tissues.

The movie trailer:

I am such a sap for love movies, I cried at Benjamin Button, Australia, if there’s a love story, you bet I am going to sob.  Just wanted to share, enjoy!

If I was seven again, I’d totally want one of these…

The Twilight Barbies, $25 each, will be available starting November 1, 2009

Read the People article here – thanks JS!  November 20!!!!!!
